Customs agent, definition: A customs agent is a foreign trade professional, as a specialist in foreign trade, he facilitates all administrative tasks related to the import and export of products. A customs agent, also called a customs broker or customs representative, fulfills the function of facilitating and presenting the necessary procedures for importing and importing merchandise. Requirements that a Customs Agent must meet

- Know and pass the Excise Tax exams
- Must comply with all smuggling regulation requirements
- Know as much as possible all the regulations on contracts for the sale of merchandise and international transport regulations
- A customs agent in Spain must know and demonstrate the legal norms of foreign trade referring to the Economic and Fiscal Regime of the Canary Islands as well as the special regimes of Ceuta and Melilla (Spanish enclaves in North Africa).
