The 22nd edition of the leading trade fair for the sector in Southern Europe and the Mediterranean, organized by the Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona, will take place from May 31 to June 2 of next year.

The Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona announces the celebration of the 22nd edition of the International Logistics Fair from May 31 to June 2, 2022, after two years of absence due to the health situation.

SIL 2022 has created an application that will facilitate the transmission of data between exhibitors and visitors just by scanning the corresponding QR codes. Likewise, networking will continue to be promoted through speed dating that will allow more than 5,000 quick meetings between companies in the sector.

Pere Navarro, special delegate of the State in the CZFB, highlights that "the entity continues to bet on logistics with the organization of the only fair that since 1998 brings together the entire supply chain and that has established itself as the benchmark in the sector as well as the leading annual meeting in southern Europe and the Mediterranean”.

In this edition, SIL 2022 is committed to reinforcing its commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In addition to being represented at the Congress, sustainable materials will be used to build the stands and the prize will be awarded to the company with the best sustainable practices and to the loading company with the best practices. Likewise, SIL 2022 integrates eDelivery Barcelona into its offer, which will have an exhibition area dedicated to the last mile and delivery in electronic commerce.

SIL 2022 will also promote its area of knowledge and innovation through the Startup Innovation Hub and will continue to have the first fair accelerator in the logistics sector that will already reach its third edition, in addition to also awarding the prize for the best innovation of the fair.

In this line, Blanca Sorigué, general director of the CZFB and SIL, points out that “in this new edition, innovation will have a more important component than ever. In the last two years, logistics has acquired a greater weight in the global economy and in this first edition after the arrival of Covid-19 we want to reinforce our role as an international business bridge between Europe, Latin America and the Mediterranean countries”.
