SIL Barcelona closes its 22nd edition

SIL Barcelona, ​​one of the world's largest Logistics, Transport, Intralogistics and Supply Chain fairs, and a benchmark in Spain, the Mediterranean and Latin America, closed its 22nd edition last week with more than 12,000 attendees from 81 countries (29 from Europe, 18 from Africa, 17 from America, 16 from Asia and 1 from Oceania) and more than 250 accredited journalists.

In this edition, SIL has redoubled its commitment to networking by dividing the Networking Circle and generating more than 6,620 contacts. Of these, 6,300 have been produced within the framework of the Círculo Logístico and the Círculo Retailer. for its part, the Start-ups Circle has enabled the creation of 320 new opportunities.

Highest level of participation and internationality

Throughout the three days that the event lasted, 314 speakers who hold decision-making positions in companies such as Azko Nobel, Bayer, Boboli, Bosch, Bricomart, Cárabo, Capsa Food, Celsa Group, Damm, Danomne, Decathlon, among others, They have addressed in the Congress the challenges that businesses in the industry and logistics face from innovation 4.0 and digitalization, sustainability, and talent in more than 80 sessions divided into 4 stages: Logistic & Industry, Business Transformation, eDelivery Barcelona and MediaLogistics Week. A total of 3,386 visitors have attended one of the 81 sessions that the SIL eDelivery Congress has had.

In addition, the fair has had the participation of decision-makers from 650 companies with 20% internationalization, with the presence of countries such as Argentina, China, Denmark, Ecuador, Colombia, Mexico, Slovakia, France, the Netherlands, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Portugal, Taiwan, UAE, UK or USA, among others.

Generating employment opportunities

During the last day, the Job Market Place was also held, an initiative promoted by Barcelona Activa within the framework of the fair. The participating companies have been Bollore Logistics, Celsa group, Decathlon, Dupessey Ibérica, Matachín Group and Nou Transport, which have offered 16 vacancies to cover 10 offers in the logistics sector.

A total of 374 candidates have submitted their application for the positions offered by the participating companies, among which the 107 that most meet the required profiles to hold a job interview on the last day of the SIL have been selected.
